Higher Power Products was started in 2001 by Bill and Laura Wurst. We are a couple who finally stopped running from God when we were about forty years old (maybe we got too tired!). Now our main interest is in spreading the Good News, around the world, in the USA, in our home state of Ohio, and in our local community.
Sometimes spreading the Word is by preaching and teaching, sometimes it's by living a holy life (that is, separated and dedicated to God) and sometimes it's just by enjoying life and letting His light shine!
While God seems to be leading us in the direction of writing and speaking, along the way our backgrounds come into play:
Laura is a COMT (Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist) which means she assists an eye surgeon during procedures and in giving eye exams, as well as teaching others to do the same.
Bill is a registered PE (Professional Engineer) in Ohio, experienced in designing and building machinery and always working on vehicles of some sort!
So with these non-traditional backgrounds for ministers, we sometimes have access to people in places where a more traditional pastor may not -- like at the doctor's office, or even at the drag races! Our challenge is to bring the Light of the World, the person of Jesus Christ, along with us so people can see Him shining through us at those times.
